Alice Nusbaum

A lice Katherine Nusbaum, 74, of Edwardsville, Kansas died Tuesday, December 4, 2012.

Alice was born on November 8, 1938 in Seneca, Kansas the daughter of Ralph and Emma (Lueger) Koch.  She loved being a farm girl as she was growing up and loved horse especially.  She married young at 16 years old and started her own family at the age of 17 as a military wife.  After having lived in many places they retired back to the Sabetha, Kanas area after the military, and later moved to the Kansas City area.  She loved to read and did a lot of crafts over the years.  She had a green thumb for all her indoor plants, but her biggest interest was her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Truman Nusbaum in 2010; one son-in-law, Keith Null in 1989 and one grandson, Tim Kloss in 1992.  She is survived by her three daughters, Debra Kloss and her husband, Edward of Hiawatha, Kansas, Terry Klapmeyer also of Hiawatha and Dixie Brown and her husband, Jon of Turner, Kansas and 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild on the way.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha.  A visitation will be one our prior to service.  The interment will be made in the Bern Cemetery.
