Arlene Emma (Mogler) Esslinger, 92, of Sabetha, KS died Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha.
She was born on October 30, 1925 in Lester, Iowa the daughter of Samuel and Tillie (Gerber) Mogler, where she was the oldest of 14 children. She was united in marriage to Martin Dale Esslinger on August 22, 1948. They resided in Bern, Kansas where they raised 8 children.
She was preceded in death by her husband Martin; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers.
Surviving are her children; 5 daughters, Marlene of Morton, IL, Linda of Sabetha, KS, Diane (Ron) Smith of Desoto, KS, Wanda (Joe) Guerra of Phoenix, AZ, and Bonnie (Ron) Burke of Scottsdale, AZ; 3 sons, Lee (Patsy) of Hanna City, IL, Denny (Gerty) of Hanna City, IL, and Dan (Karen) of Richmond, KY; and 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 5 sisters and 3 brothers.
Funeral service will be Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church of Bern. Visitation will be Friday December 15, 2017 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha. The interment will be made in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bern Apostolic Christian Church or AC LifePoints, 2125 Veterans Rd Morton, IL 61550, sent in care of the Popkess Mortuary, 823 Virginia, Sabetha, KS 66534.
