Barbara Hill
June 24, 1932 — March 19, 2008
Barbara Nadine Hill, 75 formerly of Axtell, died of cancer Wednesday morning at the Sabetha Manor in Sabetha, Kansas.
Barbara was born June 24, 1932 the daughter of Glen and Hattie "Tift" Dean in Axtell, Kansas. She attended Axtell High School and worked as a nurse's aide at the Axtell Hospital and later for Doctor Hash in his office until the late 1970's.
She was baptized at Salem Lutheran Church as a child and attended there when able.
She married William "Bill" Hill in Summerfield, Kansas on March 12, 1949. He preceded her in death on April 11, 1990.
She is survived by four children two sons, Mike Hill of Sabetha, KS and Robert Hill of Axtell, KS; two daughters, Tina Nightingale of Pawnee City, NE, and Carol Hill of Sabetha, KS; 10 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She is preceded by her husband Bill and one son James Hill.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 1:30 PM at the Landreth-Popkess Funeral Home, Axtell, KS. Pastor Michael Dunaway conducted the services. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Axtell, Kansas.
