Billy Funderburgh
October 21, 1923 — October 30, 2007
Billy Harold Funderburgh, 84, was born on October 21, 1923 the son of John Henry Funderburgh and Elva (Krcitzer) Funderburgh at Morrill, Kansas on the family farm south of Sycamore.
He attended grade school at District 10 Pleasant Valley at Sycamore, and attended Sabetha High School for one year.
After Billie's mothers death he continued to live on the farm with his father. His father married Thelma Pyle. She cared for Billy after his father's death in 1969. Billy was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Sabetha. He was a resident of the Apostolic Christian Home since June of 2000.
Billy died on October 30, 2007 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha at the age of 84. Billy was preceded in death by his parents. He has no living close relatives but several cousins who live a great distance away.
Funeral service will be Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha. Friends may call any time at the funeral home. The interment will be in the Sabetha Cemetery. Memorial contribution may be given to Trinity Church of the Brethren in care of the funeral home.
