Brenda Ann Van Peyma

Brenda Ann Van Peyma, 62, of Sabetha, Kansas died Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at her home in Sabetha.

Brenda was born on October 8, 1961, the daughter of James W. Van Peyma and Beverly Ann (Inglis) Van Peyma at Humboldt, Nebraska.  She grew up in Sabetha, attended the Sabetha schools, and graduated from Sabetha High School in 1979.  She also attended Highland Community College in Highland, Kansas and Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas.

Brenda was a dedicated caregiver to her sister, Shari, and her mother.  She also enjoyed working with flowers and gardening.  Brenda was baptized and was a member of the Sabetha Church of Christ in Sabetha.   

Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Van Peyma, on December 31, 2018.

Brenda is survived by her father, James Van Peyma and her sister, Shari Van Peyma; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sabetha Church of Christ.  Brenda will lie in state at the Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The interment will be made in the Sabetha Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Sabetha Church of Christ sent in care Popkess Mortuary, 823 Virginia, Sabetha, Kansas 66534.
