Clayton Glick

Clayton Glen Glick, 54 of Beattie, KS died Monday, April 2, 2007 at his home, Guittard Estates, in Beattie, KS.


A memorial services will be Monday April 9, 2007 at 10:30 am at the Beattie United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends from 9:30 am until the service time at the church. Inurnment will be in the Beattie Union Cemetery following the service. Pastor Phoebe Pitney will officiate the service. The organist will be Connie White. Selections will be "What a Friend we Have In Jesus" and "In The Garden" and be sang by the congregation.

Clayton was born August 8, 1952, in Marysville and was adopted at birth by Cecil and Elizabeth Glick of Beattie. He attended Beattie Grade School and Marysville High School. He helped his father run Glick's Service Stations in Beattie and Summerfield. He became a dispatcher and deputy for the Marshall County Sheriff's Department. He also worked for a while for Twin Valley Developmental Services in Beattie.

He was a member of the Beattie United Methodist Church and the Arab Shrine of Topeka. When he was in the shrine he was active with the local Ne-Mar Shrine Dune Buggies group.

He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.

Survivors include a half-brother Jim Richardson and wife Connie of Marysville. Two half-sisters also survive Clayton, Charlotte Braddock and husband Dennis of Olsburg, KS and Karen Gilbert of Clay Center, KS.

Memorials can be left to the church and may be sent in care of the Landreth-Popkess Funeral Home in Axtell, KS
