Donna L. Kaul

Donna L. Kaul, 79, of Mesa, Arizona, died peacefully on Sunday, November 19, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with advanced COPD.

Donna was born on August 22, 1944, in Nebraska City, Nebraska to Jack and Eileen (Bray) Ray.  She attended Nebraska City High School, where she was an accomplished majorette.  Donna married in 1961 and moved the following year to Falls City, Nebraska.  As a young mother, Donna taught baton lessons to large groups of school aged girls, and later worked part-time at Falter's Clothing Store.

When her children were in school, Donna took a position as payroll manager at Commodore Trailers. After leaving Commodore, Donna managed two busy dental offices in Nebraska and Kansas, while also taking college courses in accounting and management. In 2000, Donna moved to Sabetha, Kansas to work for Bachelor Controls, where she became the Human Resources Manager until her retirement in 2014.

Donna was intelligent, tenacious, witty, and formidable.  Her inner strength, positive outlook, and dry sense of humor will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; Jack and Eileen Ray.

Donna is survived by her husband, Arlen; her two daughters, Michele Kleineweber and Kelly (Rick) Gagliuso; her grandchildren, Jack Kleineweber, Rachel Gagliuso, Laura Gagliuso, and Linda O'Donnell; her sister Julie (Jim) Emery; and her sister-in-law, Virginia Dienstbier.

A celebration of life gathering is planned for Donna in the spring of 2024, in Sabetha, Kansas, on a date to be announced.
