Doris Marmet
December 31, 1914 — February 11, 2009
Doris M. Marmet, 94, formerly of Sabetha, Kansas died on February 11, 2009 in Clinton, Illinois where she has been residing for several years with her daughter and son-in-law.
She was born on December 31, 1914, the daughter of Paul J. Miller and Ethel Dubach Miller, north of Sabetha in the Rock Creek community. After attending the Rock Creek school she graduated from Sabetha High School in 1932.
In 1934 she was united in marriage to Burnis E. Marmet. They resided in California for ten years before returning to Sabetha to make their home. He precedes Doris in deceased.
Before retiring, Doris was employed at the Sabetha Herald for many years. She was a member of the Sabetha Congregational Church.
Surviving are her children, Phyllis Gall and her husband, Gene and Kent Marmet: grandchildren, Mark Gall and his wife, Jaime and Greg Gall and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service is being held on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha.
