Earl Freeland

Earl Dean Freeland, 78 of Kansas City, MO died April 24, 2008 at Bishop Spencer Place in Kansas City, MO.
Earl was born September 1, 1929 at Allerton, Ill the son of Clarence Milton, Freeland and Ollie Dell Duggan. He graduated from Nevada High School in Nevada MO.
Earl married Darlene Nelson on February 16, 1962 in Shawnee Mission, KS. She preceded him in death on June 15, 2005. They had been married 43 years. Earl retired from Honeywell in 1999 after more than 30 years of employment.
He is survived by a nephew Gary Freeland of Independence, MO.
Graveside services will be held Monday, April 28, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery, Axtell, KS. Pastor Charlene E. Barnes conducted the services. Casket bearers are Gary Freeland, Doug Gurtler, Gary Mason, Mark Moore, Richard Nelson and Dale Nelson.
Memorials are being left to the Earl Freeland Memorial Fund, a specific charity will be designated at a later date. Memorials may be sent in care of the Landreth-Popkess Funeral Home, Axtell, KS.
