Edith Arick

Edith Frances Arick, 99, of Sabetha died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Sabetha Manor.  She was born on August 15, 1913 the daughter of Herbert Frank Corby and Ethel (Fuller) Corby in Kansas City, Missouri.  She attended Scarett Elementary School in Kansas City and graduated from Northeast High School in 1930.  She attended secretarial school in Kansas City.  She was united in marriage to Vic Arick on October 26, 1941.  She worked for North Kansas City Development Company.  She followed Vic to Long Island, New York where he was stationed in the Navy.  She then moved back to Kansas City to stay with her mother until her death.  She then lived in Sabetha with Vic.  She became a resident of the Sabetha Manor in August 19, 1996.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1959 and her mother in 1972; her husband, Vic on November 9, 2002.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Moriah Cemetery South in Kansas City, Missouri.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Sabetha Manor.  The Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha is in charge of arrangements.
