Ella Brunner

December 5, 1925 — February 9, 2012

Ella Mae Brunner, 86, of Sabetha, Kansas passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 at her home with her family by her side. Ella Mae was born on December 5, 1925 in Dawson, Nebraska, the daughter of Harold Sinnett and Ethel (Archer) Sinnett.
Ella Mae attended school in Dawson, Nebraska. After graduating she was employed by an insurance company in Lincoln, Nebraska.
On May 24, 1945 Ella Mae married Marvin E. Brunner in Hiawatha, Kansas and from this union, three children were born, Jean, Anita and Eddie.
Ella Mae was a homemaker, and enjoyed sewing and making quilts and draperies. She really enjoyed watching sporting events, and loved the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Kansas City Chiefs. Ella Mae also collected cookbooks and enjoyed cooking.
Ella Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin.  She is survived by two daughters, Jean Lee and her husband, Doug of Kansas City, Missouri and Anita Inglis and her husband, Bob of Sabetha, Kansas; one son, Ed Brunner and his wife, Joyce of Anaheim, California; one sister, Ruth Zimmerman of Omaha, Nebraska; three brothers, Levi Sinnett and his wife, Marian of Chandler, Arizona, Wayne Sinnett and his wife, Lana of Omaha, Nebraska and Robert Sinnett and his wife, Nancy of Valentine, Nebraska and seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 13, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha. A visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha. The interment will be made in the Sabetha Cemetery. Memorial contribution may be made to the Nemaha County Home Health & Hospice sent in care of the funeral home.
