Emma Gakle

March 28, 1955 — October 22, 2009

Emma Jean (Light) Gakle, devoted wife and mother, grandmother and sister was taken home to Jesus much to soon on October 22, 2009.


Born Emma Jean Light on March 28, 1955 to the proud parents of Rosemary (Horliey) Light and Joe Light in the city of Lincoln, Nebraska. She attended Tecumseh High School and had been baptized in the Palmyra Methodist Church. Emma was married to Gary Ray Kroeze, out of this union was born Monty Lee Kroeze. Later in life she was married to George Collier, and out of this union was born Michael Collier.


Emma was preceded in death by her father, Joe Glen Light and her mother, Rose M. Robinson. Emma is survived by her husband Roger Allen Gakle; two sons, Monty Lee Kroeze and his wife, Tonya of Verdon, Nebraska and Michael "Moose" Collier and his wife, Lisa of Humboldt, Nebraska; two sisters, Eula May Stokes and her husband, Harlan of Sabetha, Kansas and Mary Lou Hickey and her husband, Roy of Elk Creek, Nebraska and four grandchildren Natsha Kroeze, expected grandson, Gary Ray, Michael Collier, J., Caden Collier.


Emma was newly married happily living with her husband Roger in Sabetha, Kansas. She will be greatly missed by friends and family, for her laughter and her humor and her never ending kindness.


Memorial services will be Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha, Kansas. A family visitation will be Monday evening 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha, Kansas. Memorial contribution may be made to the C.A.P.S (Community Animal Protection Society) sent in care of the funeral home.
