Ethel Ann White, Wilson, Hofmeister, 72 of Axtell, KS died Thursday, September 3, 2009 at her home in Axtell, KS.
Ethel was born January 26, 1937 in Herkimer, KS the daughter of Conrad Lutjemeier and Anna Frerking Lutjemeier. She grew up in Marshall County graduating from Marysville, High School in 1955.
Ethel grew up in Herkimer and Marysville area had lived in the Tacoma Washington area, Versailles, MO and Axtell, KS and was involved in community clubs and organizations wherever she lived.
Ethel worked as a waitress for many years in Kansas and worked at the Poodle Dog Restaurant for over 20 years while living in Washington State. While she lived in Versailles MO she worked as a machine assembler at Gates Inc.
Ethel married Bob White, they later divorced; she then married Freddie Wilson, then they divorced and later she married Dave Hofmeister and he died in 1999.
Ethel is survived by one son Charles David Wilson II of Topeka, KS; and two daughters Debra Jo Clark of Mesa, AZ and Rhonda Lynn Lozier of Milford, CN; six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Hofmeister was cremated and memorial services will be Saturday October 3, 2009 at the Landreth-Popkess Funeral Home at 10:30 AM. Inurnment will be made in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials are being left to the Ethel Hofmeister memorial fund and may be sent in care of the Landreth-Popkess Funeral Home, Drawer "P", Axtell, KS 66403. A specific charity will be designated at a later date.
