Forrest Ray Gaston II

Forrest Ray Gaston II, 43, of Morrill, Kansas, died on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

Forrest was born on August 8, 1983, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Forrest Gaston, Sr. and Marie (Belden) Gaston. He attended school in Sabetha, Kansas, and lived in Morrill. Forrest's love for vehicles and projects started at a young age.

In 2021, he became the proud owner of Gump’s Garage in Morrill, which had always been a dream of his. Forrest’s sense of thrill and adventure made his life an unpredictable, wild, and crazy ride, and only a fortunate few were able to share in it. He consistently brought laughter and entertainment to those around him, making his presence a source of joy. His unwavering dedication and love for his parents was always apparent, as they could rely on him for anything, and he was there to help them without hesitation. Spending time with his son, whether it was fishing, getting greasy in the shop, or simply having fun together, was of great importance to him. As a result, Rylan experienced many adventures and created lasting memories with his dad that he will always cherish.

At all times, Forrest lived his life to the fullest and without fear. He was always in the fast lane, searching for his next escapade, whether that meant flying down the blacktop on two wheels or being buried in a mud pit on four wheels. There wasn’t a challenge or project too big for him to tackle. But above all, his devotion and love for his son, his family, and friends will forever be unmatched. He selflessly gave to others without asking for anything in return. His loyalty, forgiveness, and willingness to help others were proven qualities to which we should all aspire to have.

Forrest was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Belden; his four uncles, Ronnie Belden, Adam Metzger, Michael Ruck, and Joe Gaston; and his best friend, Tom.

Forrest is survived by his son, Rylan (mom Rachel); his parents, Marie and Forrest Gaston, Sr. of Sabetha; his brother, Cody (Melinda) Gaston of Holton, Kansas; his sister, Rainah of Sabetha; his two nephews, Jeffery (Delaini) Gaston of Sabetha and Noah Gaston of Ogden, Kansas; his niece, Autumn Gaston of Holton, Kansas; his two uncles, Paul (Lisa) Metzger of Quenemo, Kansas and Kenny (Michelle) Belden of Hamlin, Kansas; his great-grandmother, Carolee Simmons of St. Joseph, Missouri; and his special friend, Crystal Velasquez and adopted daughter, Ariel.
