Frankie McNett

January 2, 1940 — March 1, 2014

F rankie Elizabeth McNett, 74, of Sabetha died Saturday, March 1, 2014 at her home in Sabetha that she shared with her daughter, Ercilia McNett; she lost the battle with cancer. She was a strong woman and put up an amazing fight.  She passed in such a peaceful way surrounding by friends, family and prayer.  God knew it was at that perfect moment to take her and end her suffering.

She was born on January 2, 1940 in Fincastle, Virginia to Frank Edward Harris and Cynthia Alice (Burke) Harris.  She was one of four children.  She received her education in Fincastle, Virginia.

On December 31, 1965 she was married to Ercil John McNett of Morrill, Kansas.  In 1966, they started their year off as husband and wife.  They lived in California for a short while, before moving back to Morrill to raise their four children and have lived in this area since.

She attended the Wesleyan Church in Sabetha, this is where she had the pleasure of getting to know Pastor Andy and created such a strong bond and became a better person.

Other survivors include her children, Lewis Zimmerschied of Morrill; Susie Kreifels of Falls City, Nebraska; Ercilia McNett of Sabetha, Kansas; Cynthia McNett of Overland Park, Kansas.  She was a grandmother of seven (Kristen, Kellie, Jennifer, Justin, Abigail, Tyler and Joshua) children and great grandmother to five (Hannah, Mason, Peyton, Jamie and Jakoby) children.  She also adored her K-9 grand pup, MAX.  Also her family in Virginia, her sister, Jean Spangler, Pete and Patsy Harris and so many more loved ones that live in Virginia.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband and her sister, Hazel.

Memorial service is Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sabetha Wesleyan Church.  A visitation will be from 10:00 to service time at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Caring Neighbors Cancer Fund, Nemaha County Home Health & Hospice and the Sabetha Wesleyan Church sent in care of the Popkess Mortuary of Sabetha.
