Fred Hollister

F red Harvey Hollister, 89, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha, Kansas.
Fred was born on December 24, 1926, to Eldon and Anna (Weiss) Hollister of Sabetha. He graduated from Sabetha High School in 1944.
Fred was united in marriage to Mildred Wenger on August 26, 1951. To this union one daughter, Lorraine Kay was born.
Fred farmed and worked at Wenger Feed and Supply in Sabetha and later at Lortscher Grain Company in Bern. In 1965, the family relocated to southwest Iowa after purchasing a feed and grain business. Fred and Mildred returned to Sabetha in 2001 after retiring.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mildred and a sister, L’Dene Rostetter.
He is survived by his daughter, Lorraine Stastny and her husband, Mark of Omaha, Nebraska.
The family will have a private graveside service to be held at a later date.
