Genevieve Stueve

October 29, 1919 — April 19, 2007

Genevieve Virginia Stueve, aged 87, of Gardner, KS (formerly of Hiawatha and Axtell) passed away April 19, 2007 at her home.

Genevieve was born the daughter of Antone and Johannah (Budenbender) Fisher in rural Marshall County on October 29, 1919.

She married Olof Stueve on June 5, 1954 in Frankfort, KS. Olof preceded her in death.

Genevieve is survived by three sons, Gerald of Herndon, VA, Kenneth of Edgerton, KS, and Francis of Colorado Springs, CO; two brothers, Linus Fisher of Jefferson City, MO and Lawrence Fisher of Marysville, KS; one sister, Josephine Gerstner of Jefferson City, MO and five Grandchildren.

Genevieve was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gardner, American Legion Auxiliary and Daughters of Isabella.

Genevieve will lie in state after 10AM Monday. A Rosary will be said at 7:30 PM on Monday, April 23, 2007 at the Landreth-Popkess Funeral Home in Axtell, KS.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10:30 AM at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Axtell.

Burial will follow at St. Michaels Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Michaels Altar Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
