Harold Dean Cook was born on March 14, 1932 the son of Harry Clay Cook and Addie David Dees Cook at Keener, Arkansas.

Harold graduated Valedictorian from Bergman High School in Bergman, Arkansas in 1950. He entered the United States Army and served two years in Sol, Korea making CPL in rank. Harold worked for the Western Union Telegraph Company for 22 years and 21 years for Wenger Manufacturing of Sabetha, Kansas retiring in April of 1997.

Harold accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized in 1955. He was a member of the NorthRidge Church in Sabetha, Kansas and served as an Ordained Deacon, Trustee, Sunday school teacher and youth sponsor through the years.

Harold was known for his handy-man abilities and woodworking was Harold's hobby with him refinishing many pieces of furniture for the family through the years.

He was united in marriage to Lotha M. Raley on November 29, 1952 at Eagle Heights Baptist Church in Harrison, Arkansas.

Harold died on October 10, 2007 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Adrian Lynn Cook; a grandson, Shawn Adrian Grimm; four brothers, Clay Cook, Johnny Pete Cook, Carl Cook and Harry (Toby) Cook, Jr. Harold is survived by his wife, of 55 years, Lotha Cook of Sabetha; two daughters, Marsha Eckert of Norfolk, Nebraska and Valerie Scroggins and her husband, Stephen Craig of Cameron, Missouri; three grandchildren, Amber Grimm of Norfolk, Nebraska, Tiffany Eckert of Norfolk, Nebraska and Colby Scroggins of Cameron, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Malaysia Grimm and Kristopher Grimm of Norfolk, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at the NorthRidge Church in Sabetha. A family visitation will be Friday evening 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha. The interment will be in the Sabetha Cemetery.
