Ida Mae (Eby) Bean, 78, passed away at her home Saturday, September 29, 2007 in Frankfort, KS.

Ida was born July 28, 1929 the daughter of Samuel and Virgie Labbe Eby. Ida graduated from Centralia High School in 1947. She married Robert Clay Bean, Jr. April 30, 1947. Into this marriage eight children were born. She was a CNA for 23 years. Ida was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Centralia.

Her husband preceded her in death on March 6, 1984. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Samuel John and Virgie Eby and a great grandchild.

She is survived by her eight children; Robert John and wife Nora, Holton; Jacquelyn Kay Berry and husband Bill, Florence; Cheryl Diane Berry and husband Larry, Servey; Ronnie Lee and wife Terry, Pratt; Donald Ray and wife Mary, Newton; Patricia Ann Igeleheart, Florence; Tammy Jones and husband Steven, Frankfort; and David Clay and wife Pam, Brazil, Indiana; 22 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren.

Ida will lie in state at Hayes-Popkess Funeral Home, Centralia, Tuesday, October 2. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Centralia at 10:30 a.m. Deanna Lewis will conduct the services. Julie Gleason is the organist and Pam Bachman and Julie Gleason will sing. Casket bearers are Bruce Bachman, Jerry Lewis, Ron Little, Rex Flentie, Alva Meade, and Terry Smith. She will be laid to rest in the Centralia Cemetery, Centralia.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ida bean memorial fund. A specific charity will be named at a later date.
