Jean VonBergen

Jean Von Bergen, 75, of rural Dawson, Nebraska, died Saturday, June 9, 2012.

Jean was born on December 11, 1936 to Kenneth and Marion (Flott) Wittwer in Sabetha, Kansas.
On August 5, 1956, she was married to Richard Von Bergen at Zion Church in rural Dawson, Nebraska.  She dedicated her life to family and was active in the Christian community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Gary Wittwer.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Von Bergen of the home; daughter, Vicki (Bruce) Giesecke of Lincoln, Nebraska; two sons, Jay (Susi) Von Bergen, and Jeff (Annette) Von Bergen, both of Auburn, Nebraska; grandchildren: Vicki’s daughters, Jessica (Josh) Liechti of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Kellie (Joe) Cave of Lincoln, Nebraska; Jay’s daughters, Jill Von Bergen of Omaha, Nebraska, Beth (Jamal) Strong of Victorville, California; Jeff’s son and daughter, Zach Von Bergen of Auburn, Nebraska, Katie (Ben) Combs of Roca, Nebraska; great-grandchildren, Noah and Jayse Liechti, Julian, Miles and Joslyn Strong, Trayson, AJ and Samantha Combs; sisters, JoAnn (Harvey) Hartter of Fairview, Kansas, Janelle (Jim) Murphy of Coalinga, California; brother, Randy (Pam) Wittwer of Falls City.


Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the NorthRidge Church in Sabetha, Kansas.  The family will greet friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the NorthRidge Church.  Interment will be in the Wild Rose Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be left to the NorthRidge Building Fund, sent in care of the funeral home, 823 Virginia, Sabetha, KS 66534.
