John Blair

September 6, 1920 — January 1, 2014

J ohn Wilber Blair, 93, of Sabetha, Kansas and formerly of Lincoln, Nebraska died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha.  He was born on September 6, 1920 in Galva, Kansas the son of Ancil Blair and Susan (Cole) Blair.  He entered the United States Army and served during World War II.  He worked as a Marketing Specialist with Goodyear, Inc.  John was a member of the Masonic Lodge A.F.& A.M. and Gideon’s.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. John loved the Lord.  He is survived by a daughter, and son-in-law, Cathy and Dennis Wright; a son, and daughter-in-law, John and Bev Blair; a sister, Anita and grandchildren, Erica Wright, Luke Blair, and Rachel Blair.

Funeral services will be at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2013 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln.  A visitation will be from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday, with the family greeting friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and from 9:00 am until services on Tuesday, all at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the Sabetha Cemetery in Sabetha Kansas.  Family and friends will meet at Popkess Funeral Home, 823 Virginia Street, Sabetha prior to services.  A visitation will be from Noon to 1:00 pm, Wednesday, at the funeral home.
