John Kaufman

John William Kaufman, 80, of Sabetha, formerly of Fairbury, IL passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha.
John was born the son of Jacob and Clara (Bach) Kaufman on November 18, 1926 in Fairbury, IL. He graduated from high school in Silverton, OR before serving his country in the US Navy. John was also a member of the IBEW #280 Salem. In 1973, John was baptized into the Apostolic Christian faith.
John was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Delores Bertsch.
Survivors include ex-wife and friend, Betty Kaufman of Marshfield, MO; sons, Curtis Kaufman of Tucson, AZ and Keith Kaufman of Morrill, KS; daughter, Dora Miceli of Marshfield, MO; sisters, Carolyn Simmons Silverton, OR, Shirley Eggiman Gresham, OR and Janice Montoya Salem, OR; 11 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2007 from 6-8PM at the Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha.
The Funeral Service will be on Monday at 10:30AM at the Apostolic Christian Church in Sabetha. Burial will follow at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home in care of the funeral home.
