June Dandliker

June 17, 1918 — November 7, 2009

June Irene Dandliker was born on June 17, 1918 the daughter of William E. Stevens and Jessie M. (Tyree) Stevens at Falls City, Nebraska. She was one of six children born to this union. June attended and graduated from Honey Creek School. June was united in marriage to Donald E. Dandliker on September 16, 1942 in Compton, California. While June was in California she worked for an airline manufacturing company as a "Rosie the riveter". She worked as a line inspector and corrected other peoples mistakes. June and Don moved to Dawson, Nebraska after the war and then to Colorado in 1959. In 1976 they moved back to Dawson until their deaths.


June died on November 7, 2009 at the Colonial Acres Nursing Home in Humboldt, Nebraska at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald E. Dandliker; one son, Steven Cary Dandliker; 3 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by one son, D. Kip Dandliker of Humboldt, Nebraska; one brother, Robert Stevens of Portland, Oregon; and 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.


A private family graveside service will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery in Dawson, Nebraska. Memorial contribution may be made to the St. Mary's Catholic Church, sent in care of the Popkess Mortuary 823 Virginia Sabetha, Kansas 66534.
