June Traphagen

June Ann (Tucker) Traphagen, age 62, of Corning, Kansas passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at her home.  She was born January 19, 1949 in Nemaha County, Kansas.  She is the daughter of the late James Robert Sr. and Katherine (Johnson) Tucker.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James Robert Tucker Jr.  June is survived by three daughters, Darla Traphagen of Topeka, KS, Pauline Traphagen of Atchison, KS, and Lori Doud-Medlin (Randy) of Topeka, KS; one son, David Traphagen (Wendy) of Topeka, KS; two sisters, Charolene McMullen (Jim) of Centralia, KS and Shirley Bramhall (Bob) of Manhattan, KS; one brother, John Tucker (Julie) of Schuyler, NE.  She is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and friends.  Two beloved pets, BC and Tabby, her companions for life also survive.

Funeral services were at the Popkess Memorial Chapel in Seneca, KS on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 1:30 PM with Pastor Ken Tubbesing officiating. Casket bearers were David Lee Traphagen, Chris McMullen, Heath Bramhall, Charles Pilant, Ryan Bramhall, and Mitch Tucker.   Honorary casket bearers are Clay Bramhall, April Tucker, Jamie McMullen, Derrick Doud, Sabrina Tucker, Cassie Tucker, Kim Tucker, Miranda Tucker and Dalton McDaniel. Interment was in the Corning Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Topeka Humane Society or NEK-CAP, sent in care of the funeral home, 814 Castle St., Seneca, KS 66538.
