Karoline Edelman

K aroline M. Edelman, 92 of Sabetha died Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Apostolic Christian Home.  She was born on August 24, 1923 the daughter of Alphia Edelman and Emma (Stahl) Edelman at Sabetha, Kansas. She grew up in the Sabetha area. She did domestic work in Sabetha, and Peoria, Illinois. She worked as a head cook at the Sabetha Grade School, and owned and operated a bakery. She enjoyed reading, baking, and sewing. She was a member of the Christian Apostolic Church for many years.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Clemens Edelman; sisters, Berniece Edelman and Lena Edelman.  She is survived by five brothers, Orin Edelman, Leonard Edelman, Nathan Edelman all of Sabetha, Richard Edelman of Beloit, Kansas and Eugene Edelman of Sabetha; one sister, Doris Meyer of Sabetha and numerous nephews and nieces.

Funeral service will be Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Christian Apostolic Church in Sabetha.  A visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha.  The interment will be made in the Sabetha Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Nemaha County Home Health & Hospice, the Apostolic Christian Home, or the Sabetha Community Hospital, sent in care of Popkess Mortuary, 823 Virginia Sabetha, Kansas  66534.
