Kenneth Heideman

K enneth J. Heideman, 70, of Seneca, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Nemaha Community Hospital. He was born in Seneca, KS the youngest son of Carl and Theresa (Cohorst) Heideman on March 10, 1943.  He graduated from Seneca High School in 1962.  He worked in Kansas City for the State of Kansas testing different materials for the highways.  He was married to Patricia I. Reinhart on September 10, 1966.  He worked for Mealy’s Hy-Klas as a butcher.  He then worked for Eisenbarth Plumbing.  In 1991 he left Eisenbarth Plumbing to open a Liquor store in Centralia, KS which he ran from 1991 to 1993. He then returned to Eisenbarth Plumbing until he retired in 2010.  He continued to do odd jobs for people in the community and also enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.  He enjoyed spending time with all of his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Louis Burns and a son Christopher Heideman. He is survived by his wife, Patricia of the home; two sons, Clint (Tricia) Heideman of Delia, KS and James (Dannielle) Heideman of Wamego, KS; one daughter, Christine Heideman of Pine Mountain, CA; one brother, Donald (Alveda) Heideman; two sisters, Waunita (Vaden) Allen, Margie (Aloysius) Engelken; Eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial is Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Seneca.  Rosary will be recited Friday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Popkess Mortuary in Seneca.
