Larry D. Mai, 64, of White Cloud, died Monday, November 7, 2011 at his home rural White Cloud, Kansas. Larry was born on October 1, 1947 in Ransom, Kansas to Edwin Walter and Edna (Helwig) Mai. Larry was an only child. Larry never married and has no children. He served in the Army during Vietnam, receiving the Purple Heart and Distinguished Service Cross. He worked for NEKAP for 20 years. He loved all animals, fishing and riding his Harley.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha. A visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. The inurnment will be made in the Sabetha Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Leavenworth Honor Guard.
