Leonard Wisdom

Leonard Wisdom, 84, of Easton and formerly of Sabetha, died on April 23, 2011 at his son’s home in Easton. He was born on September 14, 1926 the son of Jesse B. Wisdom and Emily Elizabeth (Lizzie) Wisdom at Bern, Kansas. He was one of four children born to this union. He attended school in the Bern area. He was united in marriage to Joyceln Ann Cavender on September 14, 1952. They later divorced. He was united in marriage to Velma Mae Frakes in 1959. Two sons were born to this union. They later divorced. Leonard worked for the Wyle Tool Company in Hiawatha. He was a member of the Nemaha County Sheriff Department Posse for several years.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Irvin J. Wisdom on October 23, 1999; two sisters, Neoma Eichenberger on April 7, 2009 and Lucy Utah Wisdom in 1996; a granddaughter, Jessica Lee Wisdom on May 29, 1991. He is survived by two sons, Rick Wisdom of Easton, Kansas and Michael Wisdom of Leavenworth, Kansas and 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha. A visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. The interment will be made in the Seneca Cemetery. Memorial contribution may be made to the John Wayne Cancer Foundation sent in care of the funeral home.
