Centralia, KS - Leslie Charles Little, 90, of Centralia, KS died Thursday, March 20, 2008 at the Onaga Community Hospital in Onaga, KS.

He was born March 4, 1918 on a farm near Coin Iowa. He was the son of Otis and Mabel Little. As a infant he moved to Centralia with his family. He attended Boardman rural school and then attended high school in Centralia.

On October 14, 1940 he was united in marriage to Fern Armstrong and to this union was born a son, Ronald and a daughter, Joan. Preceding him in death are his parents, 3 brothers, Donald, Max and Pat and two sisters, Anna and Mary one great grandchild, Latishia.

He was a farmer and stockman and farmed all his life except when crops were small, that is when he worked for 6 Months as a guard at Lansing Penitentiary and also helped with the building of the local school and the swimming pool. He had a good long life and for most of it he was blessed with good health. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge at Seneca, KS and a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ of Centralia, KS.

He is survived by his wife Fern of the home in Centralia, a son, Ronald and a daughter, Joan Little both of Centralia; also a sister Dorothy Handley of Independence, MO. Two grandchildren, Jeffery and Ange Little. Five grandchildren, Sharon, Dakota, Hunter, Cherokee and Ashlyne.

Memorial services were Monday March 24, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Centralia. A visitation was at 10:00AM in the Churches basement until service time. Memorials are being left to the First Congregational United Church of Christ or the Centralia EMTs and maybe sent in care of the Hayes-Popkess Funeral Home in Centralia.
