Linda Talley

Linda Katherine Schneider Talley, age 66 of Sabetha, Kansas passed away Wednesday February 8, 2012 at Stormont-Vail Health Care Center in Topeka, Kansas.
Linda was born June 28, 1945 in Nortonville, Kansas to Charles W. and Ida Oleva (Good) Schneider. She graduated from Nortonville High School in 1964. She worked at Wilde Tool factory in Hiawatha until her marriage to Gerald Lloyd Talley on August 3, 1973. She worked at the Apostolic Christian Home later in life until her retirement in April 2011.
Linda is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Hale of McPherson, Kansas; two sons, Matthew Talley (Kandi) of McPherson, Kansas and Daniel Lee Talley of Fairview; two sisters, Evelyn Bernica of Topeka, Kansas and Elizabeth “Betty” Coleman (Tom) of Valley Falls, Kansas; four brothers, Ralph Schneider (Leota) of Mound City, Kansas, Dale Schneider (Teri) of Atchison, Kansas, Patrick Schneider (Jean) of Rossville, Kansas and Jack Schneider of Lawrence, Kansas; two sisters-in-law, Neva Schneider of Charlotte, North Carolina and Bonnie Schneider of Topeka, Kansas and five grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her father and mother, Charles W. and Ida Oleva Schneider; her husband, Gerald Lloyd Talley, and the following siblings: Kenneth Schneider, Herold Schneider, Richard Schneider, and Mary Elaine Schneider. She was also preceded in death by three half-siblings: Charles V. Schneider, Edgar Schneider, and Ellen Schneider Allan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday February 13, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sabetha, Kansas. Father Gregory Hammes will be the celebrant. Interment will be at the Morrill Cemetery. A visitation will be Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha, with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Stroke Association.
