Lola O'Dell

L ola Virginia O’Dell, 97, of Marysville formally of Sabetha died Monday, October 1, 2012 at Cambridge Place in Marysville. She was born on February 10, 1915 the daughter of Richard Frank Bestwick and Delma (Hinton) Bestwick at Rulo, Nebraska. She grew up in Sabetha and worked in the restaurant business for many years. She was united in marriage to Clyde O’Dell on April 11, 1970 at Falls City, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde O’Dell on January 25, 1989; her sons, Wayne and Kenneth Ralston; a daughter, Mavis Garber; two brothers, Neil Bestwick and Richard Bestwick; one sister, Helen Keim and a granddaughter, Kathy Hiltgen. She is survived by a brother, Merril “Bud” Bestwick (Bette) of Manhattan, Kansas and six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha. A visitation will be Tuesday evening 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha. The interment will be in the Sabetha Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Nemaha County Relay for Life sent in care of the funeral home.
