Marlee Ukele

M arlee Geneva Ukele, 11, of Sabetha, KS was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, November 25, 2017.

Marlee was born July 30, 2006 in Sabetha, the loving daughter of Lee and Carmen (Baumgartner) Ukele. She attended Sabetha Elementary School and was currently in the fifth grade. Numerous activities filled Marlee’s life. She loved getting pampered, visiting grandpa, babysitting, watching Hallmark movies with her mother, cheering on her brothers in sports, spending time with friends, playing games, dancing, and laughing. Marlee will be remembered as a lively, energetic, kind, miniature Carmen, who loved her friends, family and Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Marshall and Geneva (Brigham) Ukele; a maternal grandmother, Nancy (Hartter) Baumgartner; and entered eternity with her mother, Carmen and uncle, Steve Ukele.

She is survived by her father, Lee, and brothers, Tanner and Carson of Sabetha. She was especially adored by her maternal grandfather, Leonard Baumgartner of Sabetha.

Funeral service will be Monday, December 4, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the NorthRidge Church in Sabetha. Visitation will be Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at NorthRidge Church. Interment will be made at the Sabetha Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tanner and Carson Ukele Education Fund or Sabetha Elementary School Marlee Ukele Fund, sent in care of Popkess Mortuary, 823 Virginia, Sabetha, KS 66534.
