Nadine Miller

N adine P. Miller, age 91, died Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the Sabetha Manor in Sabetha. Nadine was born on January 9, 1922 the daughter of Paul E. and Nell (Perkins) Deskins at Sabetha, Kansas. She graduated from Sabetha High School in 1942. Nadine spent the majority of her life in Sabetha and retired as the Inspector in Charge of the Sabetha Port of Entry for the State of Kansas. Following in her father’s footsteps, Nadine bred and trained greyhounds, but her dachshunds Sandy, Abby and Maddie were closest to her heart.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Beightel and her husband, Bill; grandchildren, Shelby Tejada and her husband, John, Jace Beightel and his wife, Angela and Andrew Beightel and his wife, Candice; great grandchildren, Josiah, Jackson, Easton and Ella, all of Topeka, Kansas.
Burial and private graveside services are being held at the Sabetha Cemetery.
