Norma Scott

N orma Jean (Chilcoat) Scott, 87, died on Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha Kansas.  She was the daughter of James R. and Rosa Ford Chilcoat.

She was raised on a farm east and south of Seneca, Kansas.  She married Norton Olesen and they had one daughter, Claudia Ann (Olesen) Strahm.   Norton died and later Norma married Alfred Scott.  They enjoyed 30 years together until Alfred's death.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, "Bob" and Ron Chilcoat as well as her parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Claudia and her husband, Wayne of Sabetha; a sister, Katherine Mall of Clay Center, Kansas; a grand daughter, Camille Hartzler and her husband, Wayne of Creston, Ohio; a grandson, Adrian Strahm and his wife, Harriet of Sabetha, as well as 10 great grandchildren.

Norma delighted in all her family, especially the great grandchildren, in her later years.

A private family only memorial service is planned at a future date.

The family requests no flowers, but contributions may be presented in Norma's name to the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha.
