Patti Grollmes

November 9, 1940 — April 26, 2012

Patti (Levret) Grollmes of Branson, Missouri passed away at home on Thursday, April 26, 2012.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis James Levret, Sr. and Mildred Mae (Spellmeier) Levret, her son Lawrence Joseph Grollmes, III and a sister, Mary Frances McClure.  She is survived by her husband, Larry Grollmes of Fairview, Kansas; three children, Tim Grollmes of Omaha, Nebraska, Mike Grollmes of Topeka Kansas, Tricia Staworski of Branson, Missouri and five grandchildren: Sammy, Andy, Beth, Rachel and Tony.

Patti received her Masters of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner Certification from Fort Hays State School of Nursing in 1994.  She has been a Nurse Practitiowning and operating Partners In Health Care for the past 13 years in Branson, Missouri.  She was very close with her patients; they were more like family and she referred to them as clients instead of the sickly connotation of patients. When Patti wasn’t treating patients she was tinkering with her Jeeps, carpentry and gardening.  She also had a love for camping, fishing and golfing.  Patti was actively involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s activities.

Services for Patti will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home in Branson, Missouri followed by services at Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha, Kansas on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Richard Lehmkuhl will be officiating the service in Sabetha.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Fort Hays State School of Nursing, Nurse Practitioner Program, sent in care of the funeral home, 823 Virginia, Sabetha, KS 66534.
