Paul Grote

Paul Dean Grote, 45 of Sabetha died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at his home surrounded by family and friends.
Paul was born in Sabetha, Kansas on November 26, 1963, the son of Harold Grote and Lois Kreitzer Grote.
Paul attended Sabetha schools and graduated from Sabetha High School n 1982. He attended Highland Community College.
He worked at Mid-American Dairymen Inc. and Koch Truckline. The past ten years he has been employed by Keim TS, working in dispatch, load coordinator and safety and recruiting.
Paul was united in marriage to Christine Hartter on August 20, 1983. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his daughter, Briana Hall and son-in-law, Logan Hall; a son, Dylan Grote of Sabetha. His mother, Lois Grote of Sabetha; a sister, Nancy Cox and her husband, Jerry of rural Sabetha; a brother, Stan Grote and his wife, Rose of Bayard, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Grote and two brothers, Larry Grote and Roger Grote.
Paul was a member of NorthRidge Church in Sabetha. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, golfing and traveling. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially enjoying athletic events. Paul enjoyed coaching and watching his kids participate in a variety of sports; he was very proud of their accomplishments.


A celebration of life service will be Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at the NorthRidge Church in Sabetha. A visitation will be Friday evening 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. at the NorthRidge Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sabetha Community Hospital or to S.A.A.B.A. (Sabetha Area Amateur Baseball Association) sent in care of the Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha.
