Phyllis Bell

P hyllis J. Bell, 81, of Sabetha died Thursday, November 7, 2013.  She was born on April 20, 1932 the daughter of Leo Conway and Leota Beattie Conway in Rea, Missouri.  She grew up in Reo thru grade school then completed high school in Gower, Missouri.  She was united in marriage to Charles Bell on October 21, 1954 in Gower, Missouri.  After their marriage they moved to St. Joseph, Missouri then to Sabetha in the spring of 1974.      She then moved to the Apostolic Christian Home in November of 2011.  She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Sabetha.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gary D. Bell.  She is survived by her husband, Charles Bell of Sabetha; one son, James L. Bell of Sabetha; three daughters, Deborah J. Thomas of Charlotte, North Carolina, Cathy D. Sanders of Hiawatha and Janice D. Bell of Sabetha; two granddaughters, Linda M. Cavin of Hiawatha and Sarah I. Strahl of Tampa, Florida.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Sabetha.  A visitation will be Wednesday evening 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha.  The inurnment will be made in the Oneida Cemetery at a later date and time.  Memorial contributions may be made to help with funeral expenses sent in care of Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha.
