Richard "Dick" Noble

May 10, 1925 — March 11, 2012

Richard "Dick" Cameron Noble, 86, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas died on March 11, 2012.  He was born on May 10, 1925 the son of William D. Noble and Etta B. (Cameron) Noble of Fairview, Kansas.  He attended and graduated from Fairview High School.  He entered the United States Army and served his country in the Battle of the Bulge.  He returned to Fairview and worked for the city of Fairview and in the county shop where he served as foreman on the road maintenance.  He was united in marriage to Frances Pogorsky on July 21, 1948 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Fidelity.  She died on March 8, 1988.  He was united in marriage to Myrtle White of Fredonia, Kansas on June 8, 1991.  They lived in Oklahoma.  She died in 2009.  Richard served as past commander of the Fairview American Legion.  He enjoyed visiting with friends and family and reading.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Clyde Noble, Chester Starbird, Florence McElwain, Betty Dickinson, Reba Speer and son-in-law, David Duvall.   He is survived by a daughter, Theresa Duvall of Atchison; two granddaughters, Patty and Beth; two great granddaughters, two stepchildren and eight nieces and nephews and a very dear friend, Mary Rone.

Military graveside services will be Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Augustine's Catholic Church Cemetery in Fidelity south of Sabetha.
