Robert Keith Pfrang was born on August 5, 1926 the son of John Pfrang and Alice (Thornburrow) Pfrang south-west of Wetmore, Kansas. He attended and graduated from Wetmore High School. He entered into farming after high school. He was united in marriage to Marian Stedman on April 29, 1951. Three sons where born to this union. He entered the United States Army on June 20, 1952 and served during the Korean War until March 19, 1954. After returning home from the service he entered into farming and farmed until his death. He was a member of the American Legion Post #282 of Wetmore and a member of the V.F.W. Post #7458 of Seneca.

Robert died on June 2, 2010 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Rick Lee Pfrang on January 1, 1981; one sister, Margaret Ann Latham. He is survived by his wife, Marian Pfrang of Goff, Kansas; two sons, Keith Pfrang and his wife, Tammy of Forth Worth, Texas and Dennis Pfrang and his wife, Teresa of Goff, Kansas; one brother, Max Pfrang of Goff, Kansas and 5 grandchildren, Hannah Pfrang, Hailey, Pfrang, James Pfrang and his wife, Sara, Samuel Pfrang and Olivia Pfrang and 3 great grandchildren, Brandon Pfrang, Jackson Pfrang and Jameson Pfrang and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Granada Cemetery. A family visitation will be Friday evening 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha. The interment will be made in the Granada Cemetery with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #282 of Wetmore sent in care of the funeral home.
