Robert L. Ralston, Jr.

Robert “Sarge” L Ralston, Jr., 78, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026.

Robert was born on June 20, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio, to Robert L. Ralston, Sr., and Sadonna (Hogrefe) Ralston.

Robert married Felinda Suzanne Cook on March 11, 1978. They were blessed with 48 years of marriage and two children.

Robert completed more than 20 years of service in the United States Army. He subsequently worked as a truck driver for Shawnee County for 26 years before retiring. When he wasn’t busy working or being a dad, he loved to go fishing and spent many years playing in a bowling league.

Robert was preceded in death by his son, William “Billy” R. Ralston, on May 29, 2024.

Robert is survived by his wife, Felinda, at their home in Topeka, and his daughter, Tessie Mehalko.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the Sabetha Cemetery in Sabetha, Kansas. Prior to the service, the family will greet friends and family at 1:00 p.m. at the Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha.
