Robert "Rob" Burton

R obert “Rob” D. Burton, age 47 of Topeka, passed away Friday at Stormont-Vail Hospital. Rob was born June 5, 1966 in Sabetha, KS the son of James and Patricia Stuart Burton. He grew up in Sabetha, graduating from Sabetha High School in 1984 and later from Washburn University with a degree in Computer Information Systems. He worked for Washburn University as a computer programmer. He is survived by his parents Jim and Pat Burton of Topeka; a son, Logan Burton of Lawrence; a brother, Stuart Burton of Sabetha and two sisters, Christina Stover (Craig) of Hiawatha and Jennifer Streett (John) of Hiawatha.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home in Topeka. He will lie in state Tuesday from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. also at the Davidson Funeral Home. Body will lie in state from 1:00 to service time at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha. Interment services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Morrill Cemetery.
