Stephan "Steve" Ray Honeyman

Stephan “Steve” Ray Honeyman, 76, of Seneca, Kansas passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas.

Steve was born on July 11, 1947, to Raymond and Erma (Schober) Honeyman in Frankfort, Kansas.

Steve’s father, Raymond, was in the U.S. Army and so, Steve lived in many different places around the world throughout his lifetime, first, as an “Army Brat” and later as a Communications Specialist in the U.S. Air Force.  Eventually, Steve moved back to the Seneca area and worked at several local companies including Landoll Company in Marysville, Kansas, and Suther Construction in Seneca.  Over the past 17 years, Steve worked for the USD 115 - Nemaha Central schools as a janitor. 

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Erma; his three brothers, Raymond “Tony,” Mark, and Yogi; and his sister, Nino.

Steve is survived by his three sons, Cory, Cody, and Nicholas; his two granddaughters, Mia and Emery; and his brother, Tim Honeyman.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Popkess Memorial Chapel in Seneca, Kansas.
