Thomas Salisbury Duffy was born on April 8, 1920 the son of Edward Salisbury Duffy and Olive DLayla (Donohue) Duffy at Aberdean, Washington. Thomas entered the United States Air Force and served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Mae Bonner on March 29, 1956. She died in August of 1996. Thomas and Dorothy moved to the Sabetha area in 1986.


Thomas died on February 1, 2010 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha at the age of 89. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Duffy; two step daughters, Betty Jean Cooksey and Jeanette Heiniger; two brothers, Edward Duffy and Harley Duffy; a sister, Margaret Currier; two nieces, Olive Lawson and Joann Hansen. He is survived by one son, Bruce Wayne Duffy of Shreveport, Louisiana; two daughters, Frances McChesney of Aiken, South Carolina and Gladys Duffy Loeffler of Markleeville, California and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.


Thomas was cremated and the ashes will be returned to Washington by his daughters. No services are planed at this time. A memorial contribution may be made in Thomas' name to the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha.
