Wendell "Bunk" McLaughlin

W endell “Bunk” D. McLaughlin, 77, of rural Corning died Sunday, March 17, 2013.
He was born April 7, 1935 in rural Corning, Kansas, the son of Roland and Ceona (Coe) McLaughlin. Wendell attended Gribsey Grade School and Corning High School, graduating in 1954. He was a farmer and stockman all his life, and enjoyed taking small trips with family members.
Wendell was predeceased by his parents, Roland McLaughlin in 1999 and Ceona McLaughlin in 2008. He is survived by his siblings, Donald McLaughlin of Vermillion, Jerry McLaughlin and his wife, Shirley of Centralia, Brenda Elliott and her husband, Paul of Centralia, Betty McDaniel and her husband, Bob of Stark City, Missouri and Elton McLaughlin and his wife, Ruby of Fairview, Missouri; 11 nieces and nephews, along with many great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Friday, March 22, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Centralia United Methodist Church. The interment will be in the Centralia Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Centralia Home Health Care, sent in care of the funeral home, 814 Castle, Seneca, Kansas 66538.
