William “Bill” D. Eisenbise, 93, of Sabetha, Kansas, formerly of Morrill, Kansas, died on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha.
Bill was born on January 29, 1933, in Sabetha to Paul and Flora (Redwood) Eisenbise. He grew up on the family farm just outside of Morrill and graduated from Morrill High School in 1951. Bill helped his father with the farming operation before taking over full management, which he continued until his retirement.
Bill married Lila Bailey on September 20, 1953. They had three children.
Bill served as a board member for the Morrill High School and the Sabetha School Board U.S.D. #441. He also served on the Kansas Activities Board. For over 50 years, Bill served as clerk for the Morrill Township.
Bill is survived by his wife, Lila; his three children, Joyce (Martin) Fee, David (Shari) Eisenbise and Linda (Mitch) Tarlton; his five grandchildren, Maggi, Maria, Will, Andrew, and Olivia; his eleven great-grandchildren, Kyson, Kendon, Tracen, Taryn, Lexi, Brooke, Boe, Ree, Ret, Charlotte (Charlie), and Sonny; and his sister, Ruth Miller.
Bill will always be remembered for his jokes and remarkable sense of humor.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sabetha Methodist Church in Sabetha. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha. The interment will be made at the Morrill Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Morrill Alumni Association and the Apostolic Christian Home, sent in care of the Popkess Mortuary, 823 Virginia Street, Sabetha, Kansas 66534.
