W illiam “Bill” Glace, age 74, of Sabetha, Kansas went to be with his Savior on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 while surrounded by his loving wife and family holding hands and singing songs of praise.
Bill was born December 12, 1946 in Clay Center, Kansas the son of Warren and Marie (Oetinger) Glace. He graduated from Bern High School in Bern, Kansas and later from Kansas State University. Bill served in the National Guard. He married the love of his life, Janie Hightower, on April 13, 1968. Bill worked as a farmer and a bulldozer operator. He loved spending time with his grandkids on the farm and on the mission field. Additionally, he was an active member of the NorthRidge Church, OMS (One Mission Society), Men for Missions, and with Mercy, Inc.
Bill is survived by his wife, Janie, of over 53 years; three daughters, Gina (Jeff) Walton of Olathe, Kansas, Kim (Wayne) Krause of Olathe, Kansas, and Shelly (Jesse) Herrmann of Andover, Kansas; a son, Benjamin (Emily) Glace of Sabetha; two sisters, Warrene Stadler of Silver Lake, Kansas and Ardis Glace of Palm Springs, California; a brother, Bob Glace of Cedar Falls, Iowa; 15 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the NorthRidge Church in Sabetha, Kansas. Visitation will be one hour before the service from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. The service will be live-streamed at: https://northridgesabetha.com/page/watch-services. Interment will be at the Albany Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to NorthRidge FDC, OMS International, Men for Missions, or Gideon’s International sent in care of the Popkess Mortuary, 823 Virginia Street, Sabetha, Kansas 66534.
